We’ve had a really busy month here at jamjar PR towers and wanted to share with you what the team and our clients have been up to…
We gave a talk to students on the MA in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management course at Cardiff University, sharing top tips of how to be a PR superstar.
We also braved a 90ft zipwire challenge from the roof of the St David’s Hotel. This was to raise money for the Princes Gate Trust, one of our latest clients. It was luckily a beautiful day and we all returned safely to terra firma! It was a fantastic experience and we raised a grand total of £382.00 – many thanks to everyone who sponsored us!
Cardiff Bus presented a cheque for £7,407 to LATCH after it was chosen as the company’s charity partner. Cardiff Bus chose LATCH after it received the highest number of votes from Cardiff Bus employees to become the company’s charity partner of the year.
Rachael Flanagan, founder of Mrs Bucket, was invited by Downing Street to speak at the Entrepreneurs Exchange event at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. The Entrepreneurs Exchange was a series of 20 free events, showcasing 40 of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs to offer free business advice to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Herbert R Thomas estate agents ran two photography masterclass workshops for year one and year two pupils at Y Bont Faen Primary School. Pupils were given tips on how to take professional images with iPads and digital cameras.
Radisson Blu Cardiff appointed a new general manager, Jean-Marc Poumel. Originally from France, Mr Poumel moved to the UK in 1990 and has worked in the hospitality industry for over 26 years, starting in catering and moving into hotel and resort management.
Park Inn Cardiff City Centre completed the first phase of its redevelopment programme. The £250,000 modernisation included refurbishments to its reception and bar area and 52 of its bedrooms.
Pedalcover was included in Startups.co.uk’s prestigious Startups 100 2016 – the definitive list of the UK’s 100 most innovative new businesses.
The Maltings proved to be hot stuff with almost 50% of its new offices reserved as part of its £6 million expansion. Last year it announced that it would be developing 25,000 sq ft of vacant space into new offices, due to increasing demand.
Oil 4 Wales unveiled two new rugby brand ambassadors, after securing the support of Welsh forwards coach Robin McBryde and Welsh international prop Robert Evans. McBryde and Evans now join Oil 4 Wales’ other brand ambassadors, which include former and current Welsh international rugby players such as Dan Biggar, Scott Quinnell, Dan Lydiate, Ken Owens, Neil Jenkins and Jonathan Davies.
