Rugby fans queued up to meet their idols at a special ‘meet and greet’ session hosted by Oil 4 Wales at Gwernyfed rugby club.
Oil 4 Wales’ brand ambassadors kicking legend Dan Biggar, ‘the Chopper’ Dan Lydiate and hooker Ken Owens were on hand to sign autographs, answer questions and pose for photos with local residents.
The family run oil distribution company hosted the event to celebrate the launch of its new 300,000 litre depot in Three Cocks, Brecon, which opened earlier this year.
As the oil brand for Wales, Oil 4 Wales has a strong affiliation with Welsh rugby sponsoring many of the regional teams as well as supplying some of the country’s leading players.
Colin Owens, managing director of Oil 4 Wales, said: “To demonstrate that the local community is at the heart of our operations, we like to arrange special meet and greets with our rugby brand ambassadors.
“We had a great turnout for the signing and you could really see how much meeting their rugby idols meant to the fans. Seeing the smiles are all the fans’ faces was priceless.
“We decided to open a depot in Brecon earlier this year to expand our services in mid Wales and improve efficiency for customers as we can now make faster and increased deliveries. Since launching in Brecon, we’ve enjoyed good growth and we’re excited to see what 2016 has in store!”
It is the sixth depot for the family run company, which also has a presence in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Milford Haven, Felinfach, Carmarthen and Cardiff.
Previous to opening its depot in Brecon, Oil 4 Wales opened a new depot Blaenau Ffestiniog which is its largest to date with the storage capacity for 400,000 litres of fuel.
Since launching in 2010, Oil 4 Wales has gone from strength to strength. It now supplies over 39,000 customers in Wales with a range of fuel services to homes, businesses, commercial premises, agricultural and retail premises.
Oil 4 Wales was set up with the aim of creating a truly independent oil brand that focused on providing a good deal to the communities of Wales.
Oil 4 Wales was recently one of 18 Welsh companies included in the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.
It is also the only Welsh oil distributor to have its fuel accredited by the FPS (Federation of Petroleum Suppliers) giving customers’ peace of mind that what it is supplying is the best in the market, having been tested for its cleanliness.
