TV presenter Iolo Williams will be on the hunt for public transport ‘heroes’ at the Royal Welsh Show from the 22nd to the 25th July.
The TV wildlife presenter will be on hand at the show as brand ambassador of Traveline Cymru to help seek out people who have benefitted from using Traveline’s public transport information services.
Public transport users will be crowned ‘Traveline Heroes’ and be in with the chance of winning a host of prizes including Apple iPads, iTunes vouchers and magazine subscriptions.
Delivering 3 million pieces of travel information to Welsh commuters in 2012 through its bilingual website, a bilingual call centre, a bilingual app and its social media channels, Traveline Cymru provides a vital service to the people of Powys and the surrounding areas.
Jo Foxall, marketing manager at Traveline Cymru, said: “All of our customers are heroes in our eyes and we’re thrilled we are able to reward them with prizes and by giving them the ‘Traveline Hero’ status. Our team will be dressed as superheroes and we urge anyone attending the Royal Welsh Show who has benefitted from using our services to come forward and tell us their story as there are great prizes to be won.
“We have already featured some great real-life stories in our advertising campaign and we hope that more people will see the benefits of our services so that their commutes become as simple and stress-free as possible.”
Users can apply by completing a simple form explaining why they deserve to win on www.travelineheroes.info. Customers can also enter weekly competitions to win iTunes vouchers on Instagram by posting their travel pictures with the hashtag #TravelineHeroes and more information can be found on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest using #TravelineHeroes.
